Welcome to AVID!
Our AVID program will transition from AVID Secondary Program and AVID Elementary programs to a K-8 AVID Elementary Program. All classroom teachers will be utilizing AVID curriculum and strategies.
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a nonprofit that provides teaching strategies, professional development, and training to K–12 schools — over 7,400 of them across the U.S. and a few other countries — with a focus on closing the opportunity gap by preparing students, especially multilingual learners and first-generation college hopefuls, for college and career readiness. Its approach centers on building student agency (confidence, resilience, ownership of learning) through academic skill-building, collaborative learning, and critical thinking, backed by results like 95% of AVID seniors gaining acceptance to four-year colleges in 2025.
